Admissions Procedure:

Step 1:
Attend a tour
  • Please schedule your school tour or email info@poeco.org for more information
  • We recommend touring in the fall prior to your enrollment year
  • Legacy and returning families are not required to tour
Step 2:
Complete an application
  • After your tour, you will receive steps to complete an application via email
  • Legacy or returning families should contact info@poeco.org directly
  • There is a nominal application fee to apply
Step 3:
Receive a response
  • In mid-February, we inform families of admission or waitlist status
  • Applications submitted after mid-February are considered on a rolling basis, based on class availability

More Information:

Poe Co offers a class for 3 to 4-year-olds (Acorns) and 4 to 5-year-olds (Apples). 

To be eligible for the Acorn class, a child must have turned 3 on or before September 1st the year they attend. On the occasion a child joins mid-school year, the child must turn 3 prior to their start date.

To be eligible for the Apple class, a child must have turned 4 on or before September 1st the year they attend.

Children must be potty trained.

Admission to Poe Co is considered in the following order of priority at registration time:

  • Currently enrolled children
  • Legacy families (the applicant’s parent or sibling attended Poe Co)
  • Open enrollment to the community

Poe Co does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in its admissions procedures, educational policies, financial aid programs, or other school-administered programs.

As we are a cooperative, parents play an integral part in school operations and have specific responsibilities during the school year.
